At All Metals Fabricating, we’re sometimes asked about the difference between our shop and All Powder Coat & Screen, our in-house metal finishing department. The simplest answer is this: from a customer’s perspective, we’re the same company. All Powder Coat & Screen is just a part of All Metals Fabricating, despite its different name.
Learn how our two shops have grown together, and how our relationship creates real advantages for our customers.
All Powder Coat & Screen began as its own business long before it became part of All Metals. It was originally founded as Garner Paint in 1974, and it was a family-owned business for nearly 30 years.
In 2002, All Metals Fabricating acquired the business after many years of working with them as a finishing partner. The company remained in its own facility until 2015, when the All Metals team determined that bringing finishing into the same building would create significant benefits for both customers and internal operations. The move eliminated transportation time, improved collaboration, reduced risk of damage in shipping, and more.
All Powder Coat & Screen has operated out of the All Metals facility ever since. Their metal finishing services include:
Today, All Powder Coat & Screen operates side by side within the same workflow as All Metals Fabricating, keeping all teams aligned on every project. There are several benefits for customers:
Details matter in powder coating, and cosmetic expectations can vary from project to project. When finishing is handled by a separate vendor, communication gaps can make quality issues harder to prevent and more difficult to correct. But in-house partnerships simplify this process.
For instance, if a cosmetic issue like a scratch appears, the powder coating team and the departments responsible for grinding can address it together. If expectations need to be clarified, the people managing the account and the people producing the parts are already working in close coordination.
Operating out of the same facility simplifies logistics. When parts have to move between separate vendors, that requires transportation, packaging, and processing. Every step can add both time and damage risk to a project. With All Metals and All Powder Coat & Screen under one roof, parts are just a short walk from fabrication to finishing.
When finishing is outsourced, that outside pricing is often fixed. But with in-house powder coating, we often have more flexibility to adjust the structure of a quote across a full project to help make it more cost-effective for your business.
All Powder Coat & Screen has its own impressive history, but today it’s a proud part of our operations at All Metals Fabricating. Our teams work side by side and support the same customer goals with detailed coordination. For your project, that leads to a streamlined supply chain, controlled costs, stronger quality control, and more.
If your next project requires metal finishing as well as processes like sheet metal fab, precision machining, and electromechanical assembly, let’s talk! Request a quote today!
